HOUSING

Homes range from modest, well-kept older structures in the original residential areas to larger lots and  homes in newer developments to expensive lakeside residences on the nearby scenic lakes.  Area apartment buildings range from small to expansive developments with a variety of accommodations and rental prices, with emphasis on senior citizen housing.

There are a number of good real estate firms servicing the area, many of them belonging to the National Association of Realtors and some with National affiliation.

Currently there are two new upscale housing developments in Virginia.  One of these, Northern Heights, offers home-sites overlooking the golf course, and the other, Fairview, overlooks a scenic mine pit.  Building lots in these two new developments are available.  There are also lots available for new home construction in the  Midway area of Virginia.
